WORKSHOP PROYECT

WORKSHOP PROYECT

''Social housing for inmigrants in barrio Huemul'', that was the name of the last proyect I did in my workshop, it started in july and ended last week on thursday, But it did not started just designing a house from nothing, it was all a very long process.

At the very beggining, we split in groups of three to four. Each one of the groups received the name of a specific house around the world, and then we had to analyze it, its location, features and more. We had to define three strong concepts that were present in the house, develop an abstract model with that and then expose it all. Of course having a lot of corrections.

After that, in the same groups we went to barrio Huemul, an heritage neighborhood located in Franklin, to analyse it, its people, important places, streets and everything we could rescue about architecture. And again we had to expose the analysis and do a lot of corrections too.

Once all of this was submitted, we had to work alone, to start analysing an especific neighborhood's piece of land that was given by the teachers, and make a design of a house for inmigrants. But the important thing was that we had to mix the neighborhood analyse, the land analyse and one of the strong concepts of the first house we work with.

The corrections every week kept us awake many nights, it takes a long time to go to a place, searching everywhere to analyse and then start designing a proyect, that almost always is wrong and you have to start all over again.
